The one thing that we can say is that Wells Fargo has one of the most responsive call centers out there. If you call their line during a reasonable hour (we always recommend early morning) then you should get through fairly easily. Unlike other lenders, Wells has not had any major loss mitigation programs role out as a result of a lawsuit; that's not to say that they haven't had major legal problems. During the hey day of the mortgage industry, Wells Fargo and Countrywide traded places as number 1 and 2 in both mortgage origination and mortgage servicing - so they have a lot of mortgages - over 8 million at last count.
